More Billy’s NFL Pointspread Picks & NFL Notes

Filed under: NFL — Bill @ 2:57 pm

(Sorry for the delay on this, my darn computer is acting up)

Sunday marked the official start of the ’07 NFL campaign, and it was loaded with many interesting games. My bride & I went to the Raiders-Lions game yesterday, and despite the loss we still managed to have a great time. We ran into Ted Hendricks at the Airport Hilton, he looks a bit more silver-haired than when I saw him last, but aren’t we all.

My pointspread picks went 2 of 3, a solid 67%, and plus 100 units. Since my computer has been acting a bit strange today so I am going to keep this one brief.

It’s the opening Monday Night, which includes an exciting doubleheader.

Billy’s Pointspread Picks:

– Take the Baltimore Ravens +3 points at Cincinnati for 100 units (a good defense should beat a good offense).

And the big Monday Night play is…

– Take the SF 49ers – 3 vs. Arizona for 150 units. Look for a well-dressed Mike Nolan to finally beat the Cardinals, he is 0-4 in his brief NFL head coaching career vs. Arizona.

Notes from yesterday’s games:

– The Lions DT Shaun Rogers completely dominated Raiders C Jake Grove, and played like a man possessed yesterday. He blocked kicks, stopped RB’s cold, sacked the QB, then sold popcorn in the stands during time outs.

– And to all the Eagles fans out there all I can say is “if we only had someone who could catch a punt we might have won yesterday.”

– “Big Ben Marino” was sensational playing with the Steelers new offensive scheme, but keep in mind it was only Cleveland.

– Same Patriots, same Jets, same results.

– It figures that Randy Moss goes off in week #1, let’s see if he can keep it up (his wife says the same but I digress…).

Good Luck

  1. Ah, Billy, what happened to the Ravens? Injuries, turnovers, a bad call. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

    Randy Moss/wife — LOL.
