2007 NFL Playoffs:

Filed under: NFL — Bill @ 2:12 am
(My apologies about the spacing issues, WordPress appears to have changed a few things and I seem to be still having trouble figuring out the spacing issues)
We are now down to deciding the final 2 spots in the NFL playoffs. The #6 seed in the AFC will go to Tennessee if they win vs. Indy, otherwise it’s Cleveland. Whoever finishes in the #6 spot will play at San Diego in the first round of the AFC playoffs. Jacksonville will invade Pittsburgh in the other AFC so called Wild Card playoff.
In the NFC the final playoff berth will be decided among three teams, Washington, Minnesota, & New Orleans. If Washington wins vs. Dallas then they are in. If the Redskins lose and the Vikes win then Minnesota is in. If both the Skins & Vikes lose and the Saints win, then New Orleans is in. If all three lose the Redskins are in.

Bottom line is that the first round of the NFC playoffs will see the NY Giants face Gruden’s Bucs in Tampa, and Seattle will host vs. the #6 NFC team.

The lowest seeded winners will face New England & Dallas in the next round. The highest seeded winners will face Green Bay & Indianapolis.
This is what we know at this point.
** My wife & I (along with her brother Sergeant Jim & his wife Private Crystle) are going to the final Raiders game vs. SD, #1 pick JaMarcus Russell will get his first start at QB. Interesting that they fought so hard to protect the young QB yet now they are throwing him to the wolves. I don’t quite agree, I hope this plan works out.
No matter what happens we plan to have fun.

UPDATE: The NFL has since changed what they reported last Sunday night. The S.D. Charger must win at Oakland, or Pittsburg must lose for the Chargers to lock in the #3 seed in the AFC.
