Filed under: NFL, Oakland Raiders — Bill @ 6:49 am

Here is the update about Sunday’s game time being changed. It’s going to be a busy Sunday night, 49ers play Houston on the regularly scheduled Sunday Night game, at the same time the NHRA race from Reading, PA will be on ESPN2 (5 pm. PT), then the Raiders game after that.

ALAMEDA – The starting time for the Raiders game against the San Diego Chargers has been pushed back more than seven hours so that there’s enough time to convert the field from a baseball configuration.
The A’s play their second playoff game on Saturday night at the Coliseum. The Raiders and Chargers were scheduled to start at 1:25 p.m. Sunday. That didn’t leave the grounds crew enough time to convert the field to a football setup.
Therefore, the Raiders-Chargers game will begin at 8:35 p.m. Also, it will be broadcast on NFL Network, even if the game doesn’t sellout in advance of the league deadline.

  2. I predict NHRA will end up on the new Fox1 all sports channel. I hate ESPN, don’t get me started….

  3. 8:35PDT? Will Raider fans be able to stay awake? Hopefully Pryor will be able to play to give us all a reason to stay up late.

    • Imagine if you were a Raiders fan who lived in Jersey?
NBC negotiated that no other game would play while their 5:30 game is being played, thus leaving the Raiders with few options. They could have played Monday night.
